“You should do a Poison Ivy look today!” my husband said to me recently. WELL DON’T MIND IF I DO. This is a very loosely inspired look, but I had a bit of fun with it and loved finally playing around with Fyrinnae Triceratops. Its been sitting in my lipstick drawer for a bit, and it’s just too pretty to not do anything with.
UGH, the past three weeks have been almost entirely makeup-less for me! Eventful, but it was one of those time periods in which I felt proud of myself simply for not doing nothing to my eyebrows before I left the house. I had a schmancy fundraiser gig I had to go to tonight, however, AND I received my Black Violet order that included their absolutely fabulous Celebration oil, as well as the special Shiro shadow ‘Everything Counts’ from their anniversary sale… so what better an occasion to give my new shadow a try?
It’s no secret that I am in love with Femme Fatale duochromes. I haven’t really had a chance to give Opaline Shoal a good go yet, swatched here. With a No Mirror Challenge up in r/MUA on Reddit (that I inevitably didn’t post to, because I’m a chickenpants), I decided it was a great opportunity to whip Opaline Shoal out, and give Jade Ghost and Meloncholy some much needed exercise. Admittedly, the No Mirror challenge was a bit harder than I had thought it might be…so fool hardy! Haha 🙂 Let’s take a look.

I am waiting on some either very good or very bad news this week, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t trying to self medicate with makeup. You know, in the distract-at-all-costs sense. So I may have woken up before the sun rose this morning, but instead of pacing around like a mad person, I hupped to doing my makeup right away and actually had time to do proper wings for work. Channel all of that anxiety into productivity!
It’s no secret that I absolutely love Femme Fatale’s Candied Apple shadow. Let me rephrase. Loooooooove it. It finally occurred to me today that Candied Apple also pairs PERFECTLY with my other shadow love, Fyrinnae Jade Ghost. A match made in heaven! The green duochrome of Candied Apple blends beautifully with the luminous wizardry of Jade Ghost.
