Look of Today: Maybe it’s Hello Waffle Rose Champagne, maybe it’s no makeup? Maybe it’s Maybelline

(It’s not Maybelline). I’ve been on a no foundation kick recently, which is partway between experimental-skin-care and sheer-laziness. What better to pair this crazy experiment with than a shadow that works perfectly as MLBB (my lids but better) shininess… which recently came in the form of Hello Waffle’s Rose Champagne shadow!

When I initially applied it, I didn’t realize just HOW MUCH like my skin tone it looks, but near as I can tell, Rose Champagne is basically my skin if I was also a Twilight Vampire standing in the sunlight. I’m wearing it here over NARS smudgeproof primer, with Shiro Hodor blended up through the crease, and Shiro War of Five Armies blended as a bit of a liner (keeping it pretty simple). As usual, Hello Waffle’s pigmentation is excellent, and this color is truly perfect for everyday wear (and I’m sure more than that, but wanting to have something reasonable for work, this was exactly what I wanted today).

I also used Notoriously Morbid’s Glass Apples– it’s such a no-fuss, no-nonsense shade, and I FORGOT IT AT WORK. UGH. I can picture it sitting on my desk right now, waiting forlornly for me… at least my lips feel great right now, after using it for a day.

Almost no-makeup makeup! 🙂
