I’m a nerdy gal, with a great appreciation for nerdy things. I haven’t jumped over to play Destiny yet (but now that my hubs and I upgraded to a PS4, MAYBE THIS WILL BECOME A REALITY!), but I have admired it from afar. It’s also no secret that I love Tilt/Shift Cosmetics, run by the amazing Niahm. Her lipsticks have excellent longevity and pigmentation, and the colors she creates for her shadows fall into this magical category of being interesting AND wearable. When Niahm asked if I would be willing to preview her new Destiny collection… well, you can imagine my reaction. (Hint: It involved a lot of high pitched squeaky noises). Tilt/Shift just recently re-opened, with the Destiny Collection AND three new winter lipstick shades available (sweet jesus Lunar is calling my name), and I am SO excited to show you the amazing new shadows she has created!!
GUYS. GUYS. My first package from my IndieMakeupAndMore came. And it was from SHIRO! My wonderful partner, Brikitty, made some perfect choices and I am very excited to share it for my 50th post. Come on in!
Every moment I think “IT’S AUTUMN!!”, suddenly 80 degree weather hits and I shuffle sadly back to my room to take off my sweaters and dejectedly put on t-shirts. But nature doesn’t mean it! It loves me! This is for real this time!
I digress. Fall and winter are my favorite times for berry colored lips, and I’m developing a thing for berry-toned eyeshadow (thanks a lot, Shiro Mother of Dragons). Let’s get a little closer…
So, I have been a bit slow updating the blog because work has been an extra dose of crazy, but I have some great stuff to add this weekend… in the meantime, enjoy this crazy dose of adorableness!
These costume hats came from BitchKnits, which has some AMAZING knit patterns for pet hats, and with Halloween coming up I just couldn’t help myself! Turn around time is 10 days, and she shipped in 9. I think the quality is great. The dog hats allow you to specify ear distance and width, and they fit perfectly. The package arrived three days later. My cat may be pissed, but I have the cutest mouse, frog, and unicorn around now.
Since I typically explore all things indie in this blog, I’ve decided to take a SLIGHT detour from makeup… into indie jewelry! Holidays are approaching, bla bla bla, REGARDLESS I may or may not have decided that I wanted to treat myself to something beautiful and rustic right now instead of waiting two months for the holidays. One of the absolute loveliest people that I know in the world, Kristine, runs WelltonWorks, a small hand-crafted jewelry business out of California that sells through Etsy, and her tri-colored stacking rings really caught my eye. Little did she know that I also wanted to do a little review of her work (MWAHAHA), so secretly, OH SO SECRETLY I placed an order!
